Chris Prestegard has been passionate about animals and nature for most of her life. She travels the world to capture the magic of animals in their natural environment. She focuses on animals with pride, emotion and energy, as well as family and group interaction.

In her photography, Chris strives to communicate the trust that she feels from these magnificent subjects. And, you'll note her fondness for feline and polar bear babies.

Chris divides her time between Maui and San Francisco when she is not on the road making images. She photographs with Canon professional digital cameras and lenses ranging from 14mm to 800mm.

In her previous life, Chris was VP Marketing, Sales and Business Development in networking, applications solutions and database consulting services companies.
